Alphabet is a form of writing based on a standard set of characters. The Russian alphabet is the alphabet of the Russian language, in its current form with 33 letters, has actually existed since 1918 (officially only since 1942: it was previously believed that there are 32 letters in the Russian alphabet, since E and E were considered variants of the same letter).
